Learn more about the wide variety of Scottish Tartans and their association with the various Clans. We will have a Tartans tent near the main field with experts Mr. Dan Maresh and Mr. Jay Gallagher available with information on their history and origins. They can help you to find the correct tartan associated with your Clan or family, determine whether their are different variations available or help you find a Tartan associated with your Country, State or even City or your profession or other organizations. They'll have information on how to wear the Tartan or kilt and the different levels of formal dress for men and women.
Find the difference between modern and ancient tartans, learn about the different setts and patterns and the nomenclature used in official descriptions. You can also learn about the registry of Tartans and what it takes to develop a new official Tartan.
